Cancelling a Return Order is possible but there are a few things to consider.
A scenario in which you might want to cancel a Return Order is if a user accidentally added something to the Return that wasn't supposed to be there, like including all the items on a return where only one item was damaged; or if the customer has decided they're not going to return the item.
First, it's important to note that to cancel a Return Order, the Return Order must be in the status To Do. A Return Order will be in this status if you have created it but have not yet run it through the Verify process in the Mobile Floor App.
I made a mistake and/or need to make a change to a Return Order but I already verified it
If you've already verified the Return Order and need to make a change, you can go back to the Verify Returns process in the Mobile Floor App and edit the quantity and status for those lines. You can do this as long as you haven't executed the Reship or Restock processes for the Return Order.
How do I cancel an entire Return Order?
If you want to cancel an entire Return Order, simply cancel all the lines on the Return Order, performing the process below and clicking the selection box for each line. Cancelling each line on the Return Order results in the status of the Return Order moving to Cancelled.
Step 1: Cancel Return Order Lines via Actions Dropdown
To start the process of cancelling
After cancelling the line, you can create another Return Order to account for the cancelled line if needed.
Note: Cancelled lines will not appear on the menu for the Verify Returns process in the Mobile Floor App, and they will not be included on a Restock ASN.
Step 1: Cancel Return Order Lines via Actions Dropdown
To start the process, click the Actions dropdown and then click Cancel Return Order Lines, like so:
Step 2: Select Lines to be Cancelled
You'll be taken to the next page where you can select whichever lines you want to cancel. Again, if you want to cancel the entire Return Order, select all available lines.
Hit Next when you're happy with your selection.
Step 3: Execute
The next page will give you a chance to review your input, as well as the expected outcome of executing your selection. Hit Submit if you're ready to proceed.
The last page will show you the result of the process being executed. You're done!
