Create a Replenishment Process
Select Pick Face Assignments, run the replenishment process, and print the resulting work tickets.
Is This What I'm Looking For
Use this article when a Pick Face Assignment is running low and you need to create the work to refill it. Without a replenishment process, your pickers can run out of stock at the pick face even when inventory exists elsewhere in the warehouse. This article does not cover setting up a Replenishment Plan to run replenishment automatically on a filtered list. See Create a Replenishment Plan.
Before You Begin
- Permission level: Requires access to the Pick Face Assignment table.
- Prerequisite: The Pick Face Assignment must already exist. See Create a Pick Face Assignment.
- Materials on hand: Know which Pick Face Assignments need replenishing.
Steps
- Go to the Pick Face Assignments table
- Select the Pick Face Assignments to replenish.
Click the checkbox next to each Pick Face Assignment you want to replenish. You can select more than one at a time. - Start the replenishment process by clicking Actions → Create Replenishment Process
- Review the results
Check the Results column for each Pick Face Assignment to see whether a replenishment will be created. You may see warnings or errors based on available inventory or other open replenishment processes./CreateReplenishmentProcess.png?width=614&height=379&name=CreateReplenishmentProcess.png)
- Submit the process
Click Submit. InfoPlus creates Pick and Put Away work tickets for every replenishment that could be created. - Print the work tickets (optional)
Click Next Steps → Print Replenishment Tickets and then click Download Report to get a PDF of all the work tickets. You can also print work tickets later from the Work table. See Create Work Tickets.
Pro Tip: Complete all replenishment work before you start any fulfillment work. Add a smart filter on the Work table to your dashboard to quickly see replenishment work that hasn't been started yet.
What You Should See
After you submit, InfoPlus creates Pick and Put Away work tickets for each successful replenishment. You can find this work on the Work table. If you chose to print work tickets, a PDF report downloads with all tickets included.
Troubleshooting
If your replenishment process status shows Error:
Why this happens: The quantity you're trying to replenish from may not be in a valid replenishment location, or there may be an issue with the case or pallet configuration for that item.
How to fix it:
- Check that the quantity is in a valid replenishment location.
- Check the case and pallet configurations for the item to confirm they're set up correctly for replenishment.
- Check unit per case and / or pallet received on Item Receipts. These values must be populated to take advantage of case or pallet location allocations for replenishment.
If none of your replenishment items meet the thresholds:
Why this happens: All selected Pick Face Assignments already have enough quantity, so InfoPlus doesn't create any work.
How to fix it: No action needed. This means your pick faces are sufficiently stocked.
If you already have pick work for the SKU that hasn't been completed:
Why this happens: InfoPlus limits the amount of open replenishment work you can have for a single SKU at one time. Completing your existing replenishment work clears the way for new work to be created.
How to fix it: Complete the replenishment work so you can then complete your pick work.
Next Steps
- If you want to run replenishment automatically on a filtered list instead of selecting Pick Face Assignments manually, see Create a Replenishment Plan.
- If you want replenishment to run on a schedule, see Create Scheduled Plans.
- If you need to print work tickets later, see Create Work Tickets.
