Create Parcel Labels
Select processed orders, create parcel labels, and set what prints at the bottom of each label.
Is This What I'm Looking For?
Use this article when you need parcel labels for processed orders, or when you want to change what prints at the bottom of your labels. Without a label, a parcel order can’t leave your warehouse. This article covers desktop only and does not cover making labels while you run fulfillment or ship from the ship station.
Before You Begin
- Permission Level: You need access to the Order table and the Parcel Label Setup table
- Prerequisites:
- Your orders must be processed and cartonized.
- You need a parcel account for your carrier. See Create a Parcel Account.
- If you ship USPS through EasyPost, your EasyPost account needs funds.
Steps
Create Parcel Labels
- Go to the Order table
- Select your orders. Check the box next to each order. To pick every order on the page, check the box at the top, left. To pick orders on every page, click the Select All link that appears.

Edit Parcel Label Setup
Use the Parcel Label Setup to turn the overlay on or off. The overlay is the section at the bottom of the label, seen in the example label above as "Warehouse Details."
- Go to the Parcel Label Setup table and click Edit
/Create%20Parcel%20Labels/CreateParcelLabelViewSetup-1.png?width=670&height=152&name=CreateParcelLabelViewSetup-1.png)
- Set the Overlay Active field. Choose True to print the details at the bottom of the label. Choose False to leave that space blank.

- Click Save
Pro Tip
Want labels made for you every time you run fulfillment? Set Pre-Generate Parcel Labels to True on your fulfillment plan. See Create / Edit a Fulfillment Plan.
What You Should See
-
Each label shows up in the Warehouse Documents section of the order.
-
When Overlay Active is True, the bottom of each label shows the warehouse details.
-
Most parcel labels are sized for 4x8 label stock. If you turn off the overlay, the label stays the same size and the bottom is left blank.
-
Changes in Parcel Label Setup only apply to new labels. Labels you already made keep the old layout.
Troubleshooting
If the SKU isn’t printing on your shipping label:
Why this happens: The SKU only prints on labels for Casebreak cartons, and only when Overlay Active is True.
How to fix it: Casebreak changes how an item is picked and shipped, so read Picking Methodologies before you turn it on.
