Set a Manifest Script for GOFO

Request GOFO, create a GOFO parcel account from your EasyPost details, and add the required manifest script.

Is this what I'm looking for?

Use this article when you want to ship orders with GOFO through your EasyPost account. GOFO needs a manifest script in InfoPlus. Without it, GOFO labels will not create.

Good to know: You can still rate shop after you add this script. GOFO rates show next to your other carriers.

This article does not cover setting up other EasyPost carriers or rate shopping rules.

Before You Begin

Access you need

  • Requires access to the Script table.
  • Requires access to the Parcel Account table.
  • Requires access to your EasyPost account.

Setup that must already exist

Information to have on hand

  • Your GOFO carrier account ID from EasyPost. It starts with ca_. Part 2 shows where to find it.
  • Your Easypost API Key.
  • Your shipper name. GOFO requires a name on your ship-from address. You will type it into the script.
  • Any manifest script you already use. If you already use one (for example, for DoorDash), check with InfoPlus Support before you add another.

Steps

Part 1: Have InfoPlus add GOFO to your site

  1. Ask InfoPlus to add GOFO to your site.
    • Contact InfoPlus Support and ask them to add the GOFO carrier.
    • InfoPlus sets up the GOFO_PARCEL_PICKUP service for you.
  2. Wait for InfoPlus to confirm GOFO is added.
    • You cannot create your GOFO parcel account until this is done.

Part 2: Get your GOFO details from EasyPost

  1. Sign in to your EasyPost account.
  2. Open your GOFO carrier account.
  3. Copy your carrier account ID.
    • It starts with ca_. You need it in Part 3.

Part 3: Create your GOFO parcel account in InfoPlus

  1. Open the Parcel Account table and click Create.
  2. Set the Carrier Company to GOFO through EasyPost.
  3. Paste your carrier account ID into the Manifest Partner ID field.
  4. Enter your EasyPost API Key into the Manifest Partner Credentials field.
  5. Name the parcel account.
    • Use a clear name, such as "GOFO".
  6. Name the Account No.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Optionally: Add the new parcel account to your rate shopping.
    • Add it to each rate shop carrier that should include GOFO.

Part 4: Add the manifest script

  1. Open the Script table and click Create.
  2. Set the Script Type to Manifest.
  3. Paste this script into the Script field.
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    // customizeEasypostPreRatesCall
    //
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    function customizeEasypostPreRatesCall()
    {
    // Add the shipper name to the from_address.
    // GOFO requires a name on the from_address to create labels.
    var shipperName = "Shipper Name";
    shipmentMapForRate.get('from_address').put('name', shipperName);
    }
  4. Replace Shipper Name with your shipper name.
    1. Keep the double quotation marks around it.
    2. Example: var shipperName = "Your Company Name";
  5. Click Save.
  6. Ship a test order with GOFO.
    1. Rate shop the order, or pick GOFO_PARCEL_PICKUP directly.

What You Should See

  • GOFO shows as a carrier option, with the GOFO_PARCEL_PICKUP service.
  • When you rate shop, GOFO rates show next to your other carriers.
  • Your test order creates a GOFO label with your shipper name on the ship-from address.

Troubleshooting

If GOFO labels will not create:

Why this happens: GOFO needs a name on your ship-from address. The manifest script adds it. If the script is missing or not attached, the label fails.

How to fix it: Check that the script is attached to your parcel account. Make sure it uses your shipper name, not Shipping Name.

If the script will not save or will not run:

Why this happens: The shipper name may be missing its double quotation marks, or the name itself has a double quotation mark in it.

How to fix it: Put your shipper name inside double quotation marks. Remove any double quotation marks from the name itself. Apostrophes are fine.

Name as the shipper name, or use a separate parcel account for GOFO.
