Introduction to InfoPlus EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) remains one of the primary standards to facilitate communication with trading partners. Learn how to integrate EDI within InfoPlus.
Organizations rely on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to streamline communication and integrate with their trading partners. As a key industry standard, EDI enables efficient and secure exchange of business information. While we recommend leveraging our API whenever possible, EDI continues to be a widely adopted method within the supply chain ecosystem.
InfoPlus empowers your business with built-in EDI & AS2 connection tools to help implement EDI with your trading partners, ensuring data flows across your network.
Note: InfoPlus only supports the AS2 protocol and X12 (version 4010) standards for secure EDI message exchange. Prior to transmitting EDI documents, AS2 partner profiles - such as VANs - must be configured within InfoPlus.

Warning: EDI documents are NOT transmitted immediately upon creating new AS2 Partner/EDI Connection records within InfoPlus.
Once you have created new EDI Connection and AS2 Partner records, it is essential to confirm that your AS2 partner is actively transmitting and receiving EDI documents with InfoPlus. If this step is not completed, new EDI documents will simply remain in "pending" within InfoPlus and the connection will essentially stay inactive.
