InfoPlus Product Update - October 9, 2026
This Week’s Release Brings: improvements to Bill of Lading creation and holiday prep.
What's New in InfoPlus
Shipping
Create Bills of Lading for a full day of freight orders at once
You can now create a Bill of Lading for multiple orders in a single step. Go to the Order table and select the orders you're shipping, either individually or with a smart filter. Then open the Actions menu and choose Bulk Create Bill of Ladings. Every order still gets its own BOL, so a day with dozens of retail shipments no longer means building them one by one.
If an order already has a BOL, you'll see a warning before you submit, and InfoPlus will create an additional BOL for it. If an order can't get a BOL, you'll see an error for that order and the rest still go through.
Before you get started, your administrator will need to add the new Bulk Create Bill of Ladings permission under the Fulfillment Processes for anyone who will be using it.

Getting Ready for Peak Season 🎄
As the season turns, busy season is right around the corner. Our last release of the year is November 5, so now is the ideal time to make sure your account is set up to carry you through your highest-volume weeks. A little review now can save a lot of scrambling:
- Review your scripts and triggers. Check that the logic still matches how you're shipping this year, especially anything tied to carriers, service levels, or order routing. If you make changes, make them well ahead of peak and during a lower-volume window, then watch the first few orders through so you can confirm everything behaves as expected.
- Check your rate shop setup. Confirm that your carrier accounts and service levels are active and that your rate shop configuration includes every option you'll want available. Your carriers are the best source for their own peak schedules and pickup cutoffs.
- Build your peak-season smart filters. Set up views now for the orders you'll be watching most closely, such as expedited orders, orders nearing their ship date, or anything that needs attention. Then favorite them so they're one click away.
- Set up seasonal staff early. Create user accounts and confirm roles ahead of time, and make sure mobile devices are ready on the Mobile Floor App before your first temporary team members start.
- Test your printers and supplies. Run a test label and a test packing slip on each station, and confirm that you have label stock on hand.
- Complete your item data. Dimensions and weights keep cartonization and rate shopping accurate. If you ship internationally, your item records carry even more weight this season. See the EU import update below for exactly which fields to review ahead of November 1.
Changes for EU Import Rules: Everything You Need Ahead of November 1
The new EU import rules take effect November 1. We've shared several updates since July, so here's everything in one place, along with where our side of the work stands today.
Product identifiers on every item
For shipments to EU consumers, three product identifiers (PIDs) will be required for each item. They're voluntary today but become mandatory on November 1. Each one maps to a field you already have on the item record:
| Product Identifier | What It Is | InfoPlus Item Field |
|---|---|---|
| Merchant Product Identifier | Your own product reference, such as your SKU or listing ID | SKU |
| Manufacturer Product Identifier | The manufacturer's own reference for the product, such as a proprietary model code | Vendor SKU |
| Standardized Product Identifier | An internationally recognized standard such as a GTIN, EAN, or UPC, required wherever one exists for the item | UPC |
If any of these fields are not yet populated for the items you ship to the EU, we recommend starting that work now so you are ready ahead of the November 1 deadline.
Classifying shipments as business or consumer
Two Order Property overrides let you identify whether each party on an international shipment is a business or a consumer:
- shipper_type: business or consumer
- consignee_type: business or consumer
InfoPlus treats orders as consumer (B2C) shipments by default, so no action is needed for your consumer orders. If you ship to business customers in the EU, set these overrides on those orders. Your carrier rep can confirm which values apply to your shipments.

Built kits declare each component
When you ship a pre-built kit internationally, the customs declaration now lists each component item with its own commodity code, quantity, value, and country of origin, rather than a single line for the kit. That means your component item records are what customs actually sees. It's worth confirming that each component has a commodity code (entered without decimal points) and a country of origin.

Choosing an Incoterm
Carriers are recommending the DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) Incoterm for EU shipments. DDP is not available for shipments sent through EasyPost PC Postage accounts, so if that applies to you, your carrier rep can walk you through the options available for your setup.
Where our work stands
We're building the connection that passes your product identifiers and business or consumer classifications through to your carriers, for both EasyPost and eHub. That work is underway now, and we'll confirm timing as soon as we're able.
Helpful resources
For deeper background, both UPS and FedEx have published guidance:
As always, InfoPlus is committed to passing the required data from our system to your carrier, though we aren't able to provide international shipping advice. Your carrier rep or a customs broker is ultimately the right source for that.

Pro Tips from the InfoPlus Team 💡
We're sharing quick tips to help you get the most out of InfoPlus — straight from the team that knows it best.
Pro Tip 💡: Can't find a customer or order you know is there?
Quick Search on the Order, ASN, and Customer tables looks at records modified in the last 6 months. That works well for recent orders, but it can catch you off guard with customers, since a customer record often goes untouched for months even while that customer orders regularly. If a search comes up empty, the record is very likely still there, just outside the Quick Search window.
Before adding a new customer or re-entering an order, add a smart filter criterion on the field you were searching, like customer name or order number. That searches every record on the table, no matter how old. It takes a few extra seconds, and it ultimately saves you from cleaning up duplicate customer records later.
